Busy Being Fabulous

We have been busy since I last posted. See, that's the problem. When you have time to post there is noting to post about, but when you have things to write about there is no time. So last week my Father came in. His flight was scheduled to arrive at about 7pm and the kids were all excited to see him. His flight was delayed and he didn't arrive until after midnight. No one wanted to go to sleep and they were a little disappointed, but everyone was very excited to see Saba in the morning. He spent a lot of the day bonding with Merav while the Moshe and Michali were in camp.

After camp I picked up Devorah Merzel in Modiin.

She is a Nafi's cousin. (I know everyone is Nafi's cousin) She lives in Silver Spring, but is visiting Israel for the first time. Everyone was excited to see her. The kids all played together and had fun reminiscing about playdates in Silver Spring. We went to New Deli for dinner.

Everyone enjoyed dinner. Especially Abba! After dinner we dropped Devorah off at the family she is staying with in Modiin. We were all sad to say good-bye.

Friday was a busy day of cooking, cleaning and Nili. Moshe really enjoyed showing Saba what a great swimmer he has become. Michali splashed around with me in the kiddie pool. Meira was off swimming with her friends. We headed home for showers and shabbat.

Shabbat was nice. All of the adults managed to nap. The kids had fun playing with Saba and really enjoyed going to the park with him.

On Sunday Michali started a new camp in someone's house. She finished Gan Dina on Friday (here she is as Ima shel Shabbat!)
and was excited to go to kaytana with a few of her new friends. Moshe was off to the Gerson's camp and Meira and I gave my father a tour of the new mall in Modiin. He had never been there before. After everyone got home from their respective camps we went bowling. Moshe really enjoyed helping Michali bowl.

The Geldman's came over and chatted with us for awhile before they headed out with my father for dinner at Cafe Angelo.

On Monday after camp was over my father took Meira and Moshe to see the movie UP. Everyone seemed to enjoy the movie. On Tuesday the activity was Nili followed by pizza. Pool and pizza what could be bad?

On Wednesday my father headed to Tel Aviv for a few days. The kids were sad to see him go, but we kept busy with our preparations to welcome the Lustmans.

It is so nice to have them here. Meira and Merav were so excited to be reunited! After we spent a little while with them I took Meira to a sleepover party. Moshe and Michali went to sleep a little earlier then they have been.

On Thursday morning Moshe woke up early and came into our room. He asked me to do a few things for him and since I was half asleep I kept telling him to ask Meira to help him. He kept telling me she wasn't here. I was so tired, I had forgotten about the sleepover. I dragged myself out of bed and made sure to thank Meira for always being so helpful in the mornings. On Thursday the Merav and Avital Lustman spent most of the day here getting reacquainted with Meira and Moshe. I spent most of the day cooking. On Friday Abba/Saba came back and we headed to Nili. Shabbat was nice and quite. Michali had 2 very funny moments over shabbat. We had all washed on Friday night we were just sitting down when Michali yells out "Daddy has a hole in his sock" and she was laughing hysterically! It was very funny. After lunch my father asked Michali when her birthday was and she told him " 3-2-1" Is she brilliant? March 21- I would have expected her to say 21- 3 because she is so Israeli. We will have to work on that.

Sunday was my fathers last day here so Meira, Moshe, Merav, my father and I went to the Kotel. It was Merav's first time at the Kotel. I am a bad mother because in the rush to leave I forgot my camera. We stopped at Holy Bagel on the way home and then picked Michali up from her kaytana. Everyone one was playing nicely when I suggested we get ready for the pool. Everyone got ready and we piled into the car. As we pulled into Nili I remembered that it is CLOSED on Sundays!! Everyone was VERY upset. We went home and the kids watched tv. I fed Merav and my father napped. We went to Burgers Bar for dinner. The kids thought this was very funny since we always order in. we had never been there before. Dinner was yummy! we came home and said our good-byes to Saba. He was leaving before anyone woke up. It was so nice seeing him and we were sad to say good-bye. It's nice to know his next trip is just around the corner.

Yesterday Meira hung out with Merav Lustman in the morning. In the afternoon we went to the Kabesa to get Meira and Moshe school shirts for next year. When we got home the kids rode their bikes for about a half an hour. We had dinner and then went to the Lustman's house for a very quick playdate before bed.

Here are a few extra pictures of Merav. Her hair is so long Meira put a ponytail in it.

One day at kaytana Michali's counselor put play-doh on her fingernails and toenails to look like nail polish.

So now that I have spent all morning writing this I better get started on all the things I need to do before Michali get's home in 2 hours. Have a good day!

Oh my gosh! Merav is as big as Michali! Also so funny that she has so much hair because Meira was such a baldie! I remember you taping a bow to her head so people would know she was a girl!
