Summer Nights
July! Is it really July? How did that happen?
Yesterday Michali went to Gan Dina. We weren't sure how she was going to do there without any of her friends, but when I went to pick her up they could not stop raving about her. She went happily this morning so all is well.
After Merav was fed and off to dreamland. We headed off to Yishparo to take the kids bowling. After a long detour (We will have to find a better way to get there is the future) The wait for the lane was not as bad as I thought it would be. Meira beat Moshe by 1 point and everyone had fun.

We then headed to the Mall for lunch and some shopping. Merva woke up at this point and needed to eat. My mom took care of getting lunch while I found a table out of the way to feed Merav in the food court. After she ate she did not sound happy. I tried to burp her, but that wasn't working. Then she had a very explosive diaper. It went through the onesie and the blanket I was holding her in. Let's just say that I was not prepared to deal with such a situation. I did the best I could with that was in the bag. (Maybe I should look into getting a new diaper bag, instead of cramming a few diapers and wipes into my purse.) After we controlled the situation Merav fell asleep and we went to a few stores, Before we left we went back to the food court for some ice cream for the kids and fro yo for me before heading home. I fed Merav and then went to get Michali. We stopped to get the mall and then went home to get ready for dinner. The kids helped clean up the dinning room table in preparation the the next round of company. We had Nocky and Ruanne for dinner. We had a very nice time.

Now it's 11:30 am on Thursday. Merav didn't sleep so well last night. After she fell back asleep at 8 am, I head back to bed as well. Now I'm waiting for her to wake up and our chicken order to be delivered. I have a feeling that by the time I'm ready to go out, it will be time to pick the kids up from their first day of camp. I can't wait to hear how terrible it was! Let's hope this year will be better then last year.
So it seems this year is better then the last, or so far so good. Meira and Moshe both returned from camp with smiles on their faces and ice pops in their mouths. What could be bad. After getting them lunch I ran to Rami Levi. Yes, this was my 3rd trip their (alone) this week. Since this was Thursday it took me 5 minutes to shop and 25 minutes to stand in line. I made it back in time to take Moshe and company to their last swimming class. I then swung by the Saltzman's house to check out the house and the progress on their beautiful rock garden- It looks great! I especially like the rocks that Danya and Jordy painted! After picking Michali up I picked the boys up from swimming and we hung around the house for a few hours before heading to Ristratto.
Now let me go back a bit and tell you that Merav has not been herself since her explosive diaper at the mall, but I just assumed that it was something that I ate. I was not too concerned. (***so you will not worry as you read the rest, I will tell you now that she is fine-perfectly healthy, T"G) She was eating and sleeping normally and even smiling, but she seemed a little uncomfortable. By the time we got home from dinner she felt a little warm to me so I took her temperature with my new cool ear thermometer. She had 100.3 so I put Michali to bed and let my mom with the kids and headed to Terem. I didn't have to wait long, but they basically told me that any fever in a newborn under 8 weeks (Merav was 8 weeks, just not 2 months old) need to be sent to the hospital. I called Nafi who had actually just gotten a ride home and he met me at tzomet shilat. I was glad that he was able to go with me. We went to sharai zedek, which has a special pediatric emergency room. We were seen by a nurse right away and she was given acamoli (Tylenol). We had a to wait a little while to be seen by the doctor, but she was very nice, an English speaker and was not too worried. They ran some tests, that part was not fun :( and It took an hour to get the results, but everything came back normal. We walked outside into a beautiful, cool summer night. We enjoyed the cool air till we got into the car and headed home. When we got back it was past 2 am. I was abel to finally speak to Arica for a few minutes while I marinated the chicken and then went to bed. Merav slept very well, as did we, until Moshe came into our room around 9 am declaring that he didn't feel well. After I checked his temperature, but before I gave him the motrin, he threw up. I guess we now know that Merav is good at sharing! Let's just say that it was a fun and not so productive Friday. Moshe was fine by Friday night. So everyone is healthy! Nafi and I spent shabbat trying to catch up on our sleep. my mom tried her best to keep the kids entertained. Meira spent most of the afternoon here with Tamar Gerson. Nafi took everyone to the park at 4:30, then it was dinner and bed.
I cleaned up from shabbat while my mom held Merav and Nafi folded all the laundry I did last Sunday. (Doing the laundry is only half the battle. It's the other half that I have a problem with.)
