You Say Goodbye And I Say Hello
Wow, has it really been almost 2 weeks since I blogged??? I'm so embarrassed!! Th only thing that I can say in my defense, is that in the past few weeks I have been very busy. I have had very full productive days. None of the going back to sleep and setting the alarm for 5 minutes before the kids come home from school. I'm afraid to say that no matter how tired I feel right now, I believe those days are over. : (
So what is it that we have been so busy with you ask. Okay, I am once again embarrassed to say that it has been so long I need to check my calender.
Our good friends the Lebsons came in from Silver Spring on Thursday (the 18th). We have been looking forward to their trip for a long time and we were so excited that they were finally here!! I cooked up a storm for the first time since Merav was born. Which required me to go to Rami Levi first thing Wednesday morning. it was this first time that I was there since Merav was born and I can't say that I missed the experience.
We had a great time with the Lebsons! Everyone with the exception of Merav and myself went swimming on Friday. Shabbat was very nice. The kids all played nicely for the most part. It was great to have built in entertainment for a long shabbat! On Sunday the kids played for a few hours and at night we all went out to dinner at New Deli in Modiin. It had become one of our favorite places! We were sad to say good bye to them on Monday, but we were grateful to be able to spend so much of their trip with them and we hope they will be back again soon.
On Monday, Moshe finished school at 11:45 in preperation (I'm not sure what it was that needed to be prepared) for his Misbat Siyum- Graduation/End of the year party. Now this party couldn't be at a shul for an hour at night, "oh no!" said the gannet "These kids have worked hard all year and they deserve a field trip!" (At night from 3:30-8:00 pm, you must come with your child without any other children to Bayrot Yitzchak, about 40 minutes away from Chashmonaim!) So Nafi left work very early to go to this field trip. It was very hot out and there were a ton of flies in the room where the performace took place, so many, in fact that Moshe told me that there were so many bugs he must have lice! (He didn't) So a wonderful time was had by all!

On Tuesday we prepared ourselves for the (very) tearful goodbye! The Saltzman will be in America for 2 whole months and we do not know what we will do without them. So Arica spent most of the day bring things by that they would not need for the summer, including her plant which is doing very well! Danya and Jordy came over at 3:15 and stayed till about 6. Meira was very sad and couldn't bring herself to say goodbye. (She has since spent every day asking what time it is in Chicago and when can she call Danya. I think Arica is going to stop answering her phone when she sees our number on the caller ID.) We hope they are having great time!
On Thursday the Krestts came to visit us in the afternoon. The kids played nicely and it was great to catch up. We were just sorry that it was so short.
Friday morning my Mom came in. It was her first time seeing Merav. After the kids came home from school and spent some quality time with Savta, we let Savta and Merav have some quality time togther while headed to the pool. It was my first time there this summer and I was amazed by Moshe's swimming. He's really great. We hope to get there may more times this summer. Shabbat was nice, but very long.
So, as you can see we have been very busy. So busy, that the other day Michali must have thought that I needed to relax. She offered me tea with a shot! She knew that I could use ashot to get through the long summer that was upon us.
One last thing before I go to sleep. Michali loves having her picture taken, but before when can snap the picture she is running around to the back of the camera yelling "Let me see!" The other day I snapped her in the act. You can actually see her running away from the camera.

Glad our plant is alive and well.
I was hoping you wouldn't notice when we stopped answering the calls.
