Meira's Misibat HaSiddur

Here are pictures from Meira's siddur party. We are so proud of her. She & the rest of her class did a spectacular job. We were truly moved by the kids performances and it was unbelievable that Meira has reached this important milestone in her life. I guess this is one of those moments when you truly shep nachas. Although we were touched by the whole experience, Our proudest moment was even before the performance started. The Headmaster, Dr. Joshua Levisohn, gave an introduction, and at the end of his speech he asked the first graders why they might thank G-D in their prayers. Meira's hand shot up along with a few of her classmates. We were wondering what she would say. A lot of things ran through my mind at that moment as he approached her. What would she say??? She could have said anything. Would it be Chocolate, a new toy she had just received, or maybe her siblings. Then I heard her voice loud and clear, “We can thank Hashem for giving us the Torah!”
