If you build it, He will come

Moshe has said some very funny things lately. He is very interested in where things come from, what they are made from and the other things that go with the item we are talking about. The other day he was enjoying a "Savta Special" breakfast of apples and peanut butter. So he starts to ask where we bought it. I told him we got it from the store. Then he wanted to know if it came from the ground (is it HaAdama) or a cow (like his milk). I told him that it is made from peanuts. He looked at me and then to the peanut butter and then he smiled and said, "Okay peanut butter comes from peanuts and crackerjacks!! Just like baseball!!"

Moshe also is very good at spotting a good pitcher and in this case, knowing when he needs to bring someone up from the bullpen. "Ima, you are not a good pitcher like Daddy, but it's okay, you can pitch to me when he's at school."

Today he was playing baseball with Nafi and after saying 10 times that Nafi was the Mets pitcher and he was the Mets hitter he started to talk about the baseball and the bat. They are a foam set that we bought at the beginning of the summer for safer indoor play. They came in a plastic netting, which he somehow remembered. He knew that the bat and ball came together, but he was puzzled by the absence of one addtional, seemingly indispensable, piece of baseball paraphernalia. "Ima, you bought me a bat and a ball?" Yes, I told him. He suddenly looked very upset. "Ima, why you no buy a stadium?" Obviously if I was going to get him a bat and ball he was also going to need a stadium to play baseball.
